Heat recovery and heating
- The building has a mechanical ventilation system. The central air handling unit is installed in the gas boiler room on the ground floor. The ventilation system has two independent heaters to heat the air inside the house by distributing hot air produced by a gas boiler via ventilation ducts.
- The air is pumped into the rooms on the ground floor from underneath and out of the rooms via a duct placed within a suspended ceiling structure.
- In the attic, the air enters the rooms via ducts installed in the floor and leaves the rooms via ventilation ducts concealed within a suspended ceiling structure. All the ducts are connected with the central air handling unit via vertical installation shafts.
- The building has no additional energy sources such as heat pumps, solar collectors, PV panels etc.
Windows
- The windows are fitted in the thermal insulation layer of the walls. They are made of Plastimet Elite six-chamber profile frames with triple glazing glass units, with a warm edge spacer bar.
- The Uw-value ranges from 0.81 W/(m2K) to 0.91W/(m2K), regardless of the size of the window.
